Mackesys Solicitors has been a major criminal practice in South London for more than 20 years.

We are holders of three Criminal Contracts, which were awarded by the Legal Services Commission.

Our specialist Team consists of more than 40 dedicated fee-earners, dealing with day to day crime up to serious fraud, murder and rape.

Our Team consists of 20 Duty Solicitors. Five of our solicitors have more than 20 years experience in criminal law. We have five other solicitors who are currently preparing for Duty Status. We also have a Team of Senior Managing Clerks, each with more than 20 years experience in the representation of Clients. All are Police Station Accredited Representatives

Our 24 hour Arrest Line Service (0800 696 999) provides cover for all clients arrested 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are able to represent client's within the M25, Kent, Surrey and beyond. We have ten in-house Accredited Police Station Representatives.

Also, through an associated Agency, First Call Representatives, we have further access to another 20 Reps.

Our Police Station Team are Duty Solicitors at the following Police Stations: Brixton, Streatham, Vauxhall (Kennington), Peckham, Walworth, Lewisham, Plumstead, Bromley, Bexley, Croydon & South Norwood.

Our Court Team (0207 639 0888), covers all Magistrates and Youth Courts in South London on a daily basis.  We are Court Duty Solicitors at Camberwell Green, Tower Bridge, Greenwich, Woolwich, Southwark Youth Court and Lewisham or Greenwich Youth Courts. We also appear at Croydon, Bexley and Bromley Magistrates Court.

Our Crown Court Team (0207 639 0888), prepare cases to be dealt with before a Judge and Jury. We have Higher Rights Advocates who represent our clients at these venues together with Counsel from the main criminal chambers.  We deal with Crown Court cases throughout the UK and not just London based.
